Following the Friday update, the Republic of Cyprus, Palestine and the Republic of Poland have been added to the list of countries whence arrivals fall subject to tighter self-isolation requirements; the State of Israel and the Republic of Slovenia have been removed from the list. From now on, travellers who qualify for self-isolation exemption will be required to provide documented evidence to this effect.
In the case where these documents are presented at an airport or seaport, the self-isolation exemption will be applied immediately. Should a traveller be unable to present these documents immediately, he/she can email them at: [email protected]. Confirmation of the application of the exemption will be sent by email. Individuals awaiting the confirmation will be regarded as individuals in self-isolation.
Please note that documents confirming the past COVID-19 infection will not be required if the disease was diagnosed in Lithuania and the data have been communicated to the information system.
This decision was made to prevent cases where a traveller notifies of his/her supposed self-isolation exemption when completing a registration form on the NPHC website prior to travelling but then fails to provide the supporting documents when requested by NPHC staff at the point of entry.
The self-isolation exemptions that are part of the self-isolation rules are available on the NPHC website: nvsc.lrv.lt/isimtys.

Kingdom of Bahrain |
Travellers will be required to complete a registration form prior to arrival in Lithuania and to show the confirmation (QR code) to the carrier when boarding the vehicle, or those travelling by their own transport will have to show it to the NPHC staff or other officials at the border checkpoint or passenger checkpoint. Frontier workers, also those crossing the border between the Republic of Lithuania and another European Union country every day or every working day (those travelling for work-related purpose, pupils, students and trainees) are required to show the confirmation of the negative result of a test for COVID-19 taken 7 days at the earliest before the return or arrival in Lithuania, when they travel by their own transport. COVID-19 testing (PCR test or antigen test from the nasopharynx) is mandatory. A serological antibody test result will not be accepted. The test for COVID-19 taken within 72 hours before the entry to Lithuania must be negative and it must be presented to the carrier before the journey. The test for COVID-19 will be mandatory for individuals from the age of 16 inclusively. An exemption will apply in the case of those travelling by their own transport: they will have to have a negative test for COVID-19 taken within 72 hours before the entry to Lithuania or they will have to register and book such testing in Lithuania within 24 hours of the arrival. Mandatory 10-day self-isolation. More stringent self-isolation requirements:
There is a possibility of shortening the self-isolation time by taking a COVID-19 test (PCR), at personal expense, on the 7th day of self-isolation at the earliest, with a negative response thereof. Those subject to self-isolation exemptions or in whose respect the self-isolation time has been shortened will have to restrict the number of their contacts for 14 days of arrival in Lithuania. It is recommended that those working commute only between work and home if there is no possibility of working from home. When contacting others, wearing protective equipment covering the nose and mouth: face masks, respirators or other means remains mandatory, also the observance of other general instructions for the prevention of COVID-19. The place of self-isolation can be left with NPHC’s permission to go to another place of self-isolation if it has to be changed for certain reasons. It will be allowed to leave the place of self-isolation at the notification of the NPHC in the following cases:
It will be allowed to leave the place of self-isolation without the notification of the NPHC in the following cases:
It will not be allowed to leave the place of self-isolation for own wedding. |
