The Ministry of Health has updated the list of countries whose citizens or persons legally residing in them may enter Lithuania. With the epidemiological situation in Croatia deteriorating, the entry of foreigners from Croatia is banned as of Monday, while Lithuanian citizens returning from Croatia will be required to stay in isolation for 14 days.
The same procedure is already applied with regard to Luxembourg, Sweden, Portugal, Bulgaria, and Romania.
As of Monday, isolation is recommended for the arrivals from Iceland and Spain.
The list, approved by the decision of the Commander of Operations, is valid as of Monday, 20 July, and will be updated next week.
The Ministry of Health recalls that this procedure applies to foreigners from the countries of the European Economic Area (EEA), Switzerland, and the United Kingdom of Great Britain and Northern Ireland.
As before, Lithuanian citizens are allowed to arrive from any country. However, 14 days of isolation is mandatory for returnees from the countries on the list of the affected countries, i. e. those in which the incidence of the coronavirus infection has been higher than 25 cases per 100,000 population in the last 14 days.
