Isolation is optional yet recommended for those returning or arriving from 45 countries on the list of the countries most affected by COVID-19.
Travellers returning or arriving from the countries on the list of the affected countries are considered to have been in contact. Therefore, upon arrival in Lithuania, they have to register within 48 hours by submitting their data to the National Public Health Center. Isolation is recommended to them.
Foreigners arriving from those countries may enter Lithuania only in exceptional cases. Those with a permit are recommended to stay in isolation for 14 days.
The Ministry of Health notes that foreigners from the EEA countries, Switzerland, and the United Kingdom of Great Britain and Northern Ireland are subject to a different list that is also constantly being reviewed and updated.
