Self-isolation required for arrivals from 50 worst-hit countries

The Ministry of Health has updated the list of countries that are most affected by COVID-19 (coronavirus infection); arrivals from these countries will be required to self-isolate.

The Central African Republic, Djibouti, the United Kingdom of Great Britain and Northern Ireland, the Cayman Islands, San Marino, Saint Vincent and the Grenadines have been removed from the list of most affected countries, but nine new countries have been added: Albania, Antigua and Barbuda, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Equatorial Guinea, Guam, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Kosovo and El Salvador. This list becomes effective as of 29 June.

Countries with the coronavirus incidence rate exceeding 25 cases per 100 000 population in the last 14 days are regarded as virus-affected.

Travellers returning or arriving from the countries on the list of the affected countries must register within 24 hours by submitting their details to the National Public Health Centre. These arrivals will fall subject to 14 days’ isolation, even in that case where the affected country was passed through in transit.

The same applies in the case of Lithuanians returning from these countries and foreigners with entry permit.

The list of most affected countries is subject to weekly updates depending on the epidemiological situation.
