On 27 May, the Government approved the proposal of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs to resume air traffic with Germany and the Netherlands.
As of 28 May, Wizz Air will resume flights from Vilnius to Dortmund, and from Vilnius and Kaunas to Eindhoven. And airBaltic will relaunch flights from Vilnius to Berlin and Amsterdam.
Since mid-May, connections with Frankfurt have been resumed, and regular daily flights (both ways) Vilnius-Riga and Vilnius-Tallinn, as well as flights to the airports in the Kingdom of Norway have been relaunched.
The Ministry of Foreign Affairs has received requests to resume scheduled flights in other directions as well. When submitting proposals to the Government on the possibilities of resuming flights, the Ministry cooperates with the responsible Lithuanian authorities and assesses such possibilities in consideration of the epidemiological situation and the recommendations of the World Health Organization (WHO). No other routes are currently authorised.
